The site wasn't updated for so long and the "friend" that I used to host the site kind of turned everything off without warning. I admit I was lax in payment, but there were occasions where I paid well in advance for the year, too.

I couldn't regain admin access to the board, no matter what I did, and the porn posts were getting out of control. I posted a few times for someone, anyone really, with any kind of experience to fix the board but no one replied. I wouldn't mind funding the site again, but I really don't have the time to do the "core" site justice. I can still contact the former host and see if he still has the files - he probably does.

I'm working on getting DCH back online right now. I'm wasn't going to let DCH die. I put a heck of a lot of work in to it myself. All of the files are safe. I have been working on updating -offline. I should have it running in hopefully a week or two. Under a new domain name. It would be great to have you back contributing, after all you are DCH.

Sites get shut off when their owners don't respond to numerous emails over a few months or a deal proposed to keep it online in PMs on TNL. I kept it online much longer than the cut off of October 15 - mostly due to just forgetting about it - so I think I deserve quite a bit of leeway here.

Lack of payment and the porn spam I found [when I remembered to check up on the site...] were just too much. I still have the content, and WOLFran wants to bring it back. Hang tight, kiddos.

It's great to hear about the site coming back! That would be fantastic!

If the site would have to be discontinued for good at one point, I am sure that we can arrange a merger with one of the other big Dreamcast sites (DCEvolution.net, Dreamcast-Scene.com, DCEmulation.org).

Take care and can't wait to see the site back online.

The forum posts and PMs should be intact. We need to do some upgrading and pruning, but that will be done once the new domain is online.
